Milton Snavely Hershey was an American confectioner and philanthropist who founded The Hershey Company, known until April 2005 as the Hershey Foods Corporation. Commonly called Hershey's, it is one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in North America with its headquarters in Hershey, Pennsylvania, home to Hershey's Chocolate World. In 1894, the company introduced HERSHEY'S cocoa, the very first HERSHEY'S product available to the public. And that’s when the HERSHEY'S brand was born. Over 100 years ago, chocolate was a luxury only enjoyed by the rich, but Milton made the treat affordable to everyone. Today, the Hershey brand includes chocolate bars, snacks, syrups, toppings and kisses.
